Rites of Passage Institute offers leadership development programs for youth and families through in-person retreats. As the Rites of Passage Institute was developing an online learning course, they asked Value Imagery to create a number of training videos for them.

We were tasked with producing 40 training videos that capture the essence of the clients’ on-site course, which required filming at both a modern studio and the remote location where the retreats are held.

To extend their impact beyond in-person programs, the Institute tasked Value Imagery with creating a comprehensive e-learning video series that complements their interactive curriculum. This structured program guides learners through reading materials, instructional videos, assignments, and forum discussions, fostering a deeper understanding of key concepts. Our role was to produce 40 high-quality training videos, carefully designed to integrate into this immersive digital platform, ensuring clarity, engagement, and accessibility for all participants.

Onsite Filming Process

Professional setup for filming in a modern hired studio space, as well as remote off-grid filming. Our crew prepared powered solutions to run cameras, lights, sound, and multi-cam monitoring completely off-grid.
We took the time to refine script delivery through hands-on directing to ensure it felt natural, especially since the video scripts were long and detailed.
We filmed with a dual camera setup to capture a variety of angles for a visually engaging outcome.
Filming was carried out using Sony Cinema Line Cameras to ensure high image quality, natural skin tones, and a professional feel across all videos.
Our team used 8×8 Butterfly Diffusion setups to achieve soft, natural lighting for outdoor shoots.

Post-Production, Review, and Delivery

Instead of communicating over lengthy email chains, we used Dropbox Replay to manage feedback and edit iterations.

Edits included precise cuts to keep videos concise while mixing in dynamic angles for visual variety.
We included closed captions and subtitles on all training videos for increased accessibility.
Training video visuals were complemented with high quality stock footage and sound effects from our expansive library.

Project Outcome

The project was completed and delivered with 40 videos with a duration ranging from 2 to 10 minutes. Videos were captured and edited in a professional style to feature clear instructions for learners.
The Rites of Passage Institute incorporated training videos into its online learning course to aid learners in understanding new learnings and advancing through the modules.
